Junction Craft Beverage Co. (JCBC) is one of Ontario’s top craft breweries and beverage producers. Located in the Junction’s Stockyards area of west Toronto. Since 2011 the company has been steadily growing and now calls a beautiful former 1930’s Art Deco public works building, affectionately known as ‘The Destructor’, home. JCBC brands and beers can be found across the province in the LCBO and at numerous restaurants, bars throughout the GTA and products made for our partners are sold and shipped across North America.

About The Role:

This key role within our Production Team, reporting directly to the VP Production. This role is permanent, full-time and offers a competitive salary based on experience, company health benefits and team profit sharing.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the packaging team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Foster a culture of quality, cleanliness and continuous improvement within the packaging department.

  • Develop and implement packaging schedules to meet production requirements and delivery deadlines.

  • Monitor and track packaging line performance KPIs such as daily packaging volume, downtime, and packaging labour hours per hL to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

  • Monitor packaging equipment performance, conduct regular preventative maintenance checks, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brewing, quality control, and logistics, to coordinate packaging activities and ensure adherence to the production plan, while maintaining product quality.

  • Work with the Quality Manager to implement and standardize critical controls and quality checks to maintain packaging integrity, product consistency, and product food safety.

  • Manage inventory of packaging materials, coordinate orders with suppliers, and optimize material usage to control costs.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging management, preferably in a brewery or beverage manufacturing environment.

  • Formal Brewing or Packaging education or certificate an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, processes, and materials used in the brewing industry.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving packaging challenges.

  • Understanding of quality control principles and practices in a manufacturing setting.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in packaging operations.
