Junction Craft Beverage Co. (JCBC) is one of Ontario’s top craft breweries and beverage producers. Located in the Junction’s Stockyards area of west Toronto. Since 2011 the company has been steadily growing and now calls a beautiful former 1930’s Art Deco public works building, affectionately known as ‘The Destructor’, home. JCBC brands and beers can be found across the province in the LCBO and at numerous restaurants, bars throughout the GTA and products made for our partners are sold and shipped across North America.

About The Role:

This role, reporting directly to the VP of Operations, is a new function within our organisation and can be broken down into these key responsibilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.

  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and favourable terms.

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with brewery objectives and production schedules.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast material needs, budget requirements, and supply chain optimization strategies.

  • Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings through negotiation and process improvements.

  • Resolve supplier-related issues promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.

  • Collaborate with production managers to develop production schedules based on material availability and demand forecasts.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between procurement, production, and logistics teams to meet production targets.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in procurement, supply chain management, or related role within the beverage industry, preferably in a brewery or similar environment.

  • Can demonstrate strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Google Workspace.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to brewery and or beverage operations such as CFIA and FDA
